Check out www.verts.com to find the home page. To see if there are sources near you do a google search for "verts climbing snowshoes" and see if any of the vendors are ones in your neck of the woods.

I have a pair, have had them for years, have used them quite a bit on backpacking trips and snowshoe trips. [/url]

The site looks like they are selling verts for about $75 (US) a pair. There are also at least a dozen other stores that seem to be selling them. I would sell you mine, but I still find them useful from time to time and they are wicked light, so if you have pack space they nest and fit in nicely. For the chance you might need them I don't mind the maybe pound of weight they add to my pack. I have not used them since my recent entry into splitboarding, but when hiking, backpacking and mountineering I still carry them and use them. I have used them on my snowboard boots, mountaineering boots and they perform well going up very steep slopes providing there is enough soft snow to pack into their domed shape.
Good luck with your search, or offer me a ridiculous amount and I will sell you mine.

Hey mumbles, do you know which stores are still selling them? Are they local? Know the phone #?
I can't find them online, and whenever I try calling C3, I just get an answering machine. I'd assume that since the web site is still up, they're still producing and selling them. When I try to click on the "online order" button, it doesn't work.

$2 is certainly a ridiculous offer, but if so many of you are having trouble maybe I should start an auction. I will look into them, maybe every site I have seen is out of stock too.

The Verts site has not been updated since 11/30/2002. Not a good sign.

www.patrollersupply.com is listed as having verts (sold out) with a shipment pending. Maybe contacting them would be beneficial. (303) 507-0222
One seller has two pair of “dakine vertsâ€

Nothingmuch, why would he care if you are paying for shipping? Israel is not MARS brother, it just is a bit light of snow. When I lived in southern Spain I used to frequent huge beach dunes, I bet you could find some to train in your verts. I snowboarded super dunes at Tarifa, the wind surfing capital of the world. If a snowboard works on sand, why not verts...but I digress. If you buy them he would ship them.
You can have him ship them to me, but then you have to make a trip to the Seattle area to ride, pick them up and enjoy some Pacific Northwest snowfall. It is a real offer, not as exotic perhaps as Chamonix, but hell, I don't really like France anyway.
