Just got my DSP back from Liberty Mountain with the new upgrade ("Smart Transmitter"). I want to test the new feature with another "marking" beacon. So if you have one and want to do some multiple burial searches, let me know.
I scanned my two trackers when I got it and found that the older one has drifted 10 hertzs.

I've been using a Mammut Pulse and been very impressed with it, but you're right it is kinda hard to practice some of the advanced features on these tranceivers without another modern tranceiver.
The scanning feature on the DSP makes a lot of sense. I have an old Ortovox F1 which drifted a bunch as well. I think this is an overlooked phenomena. BCA has an interesting paper on it posted under documents on their site.
