K Dan - it's not the strap system that is the issue it's the width of the toe bail - soft snowboard boots are much wider than mountaineering or hiking boots - the Grivel Wide toe bails are the only ones that work well with snowboard boots on steep traverses.

Just got my Kahtoola's in the mail the other day. I'm likin the fit, haven't been able to use them yet, obviously. But i'm feelin that fit, yo!! If these don't work out, i'm holdin you responsible, yoda!! Tell em whats up, mr emoticon-- :twisted: :twisted: :shock:
