Has anyone tried the two? I had a chance to look at the two yesterday and they seem identical to me. I can't point out anything different about the two.

How much more traction does the high traction skins have?

I'll let you know soon, just ordered some HT from Backdoor. The standard g3's had much less grip than the BD skins IMO.
