So if I purchased the snowboard skins, (the shop in my current town sells them but has no tech available to provide me info on setup) will I need to do my own trimming to fit to my billy goat split 162? Or do the snowboard skins come pre sized? I am just getting into splitboarding, having picked up my first set up last winter, but am still trying to figure everything out. Is it easy to cut and size your skins on your own? Especially since I have never done this before. I am quite handy though. I just need to figure out my best options and what I need to get done. Any help would be appreciated!!

You'll need to trim them and you'll want a trim tool. G3 makes one that's cheap and works fine. Gecko makes one too but it looks expensive.

Basically the process is stick the untrimmed skins to your board, get them centered, and cut off the overlap.

bay an skalpell blade, it works for all types of skinns fine and is cheap... the tools are nice,expensive, but you cut one pair of skinns ....
take the skinn on each half of your splitboard and cut it a long the steal edge , one side . after first cut , change the position 3 mm gap between skinn cut and edge.... and cut the second edge.
