I have a feeling I am going to open up a can of worms witth this topic, but I would really like as much input on the subject as possible.

First pair of skins, like most people, were the Voile Tractor. Not a bad skin, but knew I could do better. Next came the G3 Alpinist skins. Lightweight, amazing glide and a tail clip! The major draw back was the lack of traction, which became extremely fustrating at times.

I have never been on a mohair skin and am considering the new Geckos, which have seen a decent facelift for this season. The other option I am also considering are the new G3/Spark High Traction skins. I would rather go for the Gecko skins based on the glueless factor, but have some concerns about their traction due to thier mohair plush. No way do I want to deal with the amount of slipping I had last year with the G3 alpinist skin!

People with experince need apply! Thanks to everyone in advance for thier time and input.

mohair can work great in cold dry snow, not so good on more variable conditions.

if you want traction mohair is not your choice, mohair is better for glide...

never used the geckos myself but my friend has a pair, i used g3's, i was able to skin all the way up while he had to boot it for a minute...
