What at the minimum do you carry for fixing things in the backcountry? Nobody wants to post hole all the way back to the car, but you also don't want to lug around a spare of everything.
I carried around some duct tape and little bit of wire, and small screwdriver. Probably not enough, but duct tape can do quite a bit. Was thinking an extra touring pin wouldn't hurt.

Hockey tape. Sticks to itself in cold better than duct tape, a couple of strategic wraps holds frozen skins on, can be used as a medical tape for wounds, splints, blisters. Tears easy with gloves on.
A collection of Voile straps in different lengths, haven't had to use them yet.
Multi-tool & bits... and spare bits 'cause dropping one in the snow sucks.

On day tours I carry: 1 each of every nut and bolt required for my binders and board 1 each toe and ankle ladders and adjusters 1 each toe buckle and ankle buckle 1 spare steel touring pin a bit of dyneema cordage 4mm hex short handled #3 Phillips
If I was going out on a longer trip I would add JB Weld, wire, and a multi-tool (leave hex and Phillips at home).

I carry one of each nut, bolt, screw for my bindings. duct tape, zip ties, spare slider pin, pair of small knife, pliers & tools necessary for any binding repair. Other random stuff not in my first aid kit include, glow stick, small mirror, lift ticket wicket, rubber bands. I think there's more but I can't remember at the moment.

8 zap-straps/zip ties (they're light and strong - broke a strap last year on the first day of a cabin trip, zap-strapped it back together and rode for three days on it with no problems). Leatherman Skeletool. Petzl Zipka. Hockey tape and dyneema cord. Spare pole basket. Lighter & tea light candle (can use the candle for wax if skins are schmooing up). First aid stuff. Spare touring pin.
+1 on the spare basket. Lost one at the beginning of the day once. Sucked. Carry a spare now. Same trip I lost a buckle - was carrying zip ties and duct tape, which saved the day. Good call on the extra cord - will add some.
