thanks for all the input. ended up getting the rab quantum 800 bag and this thermarest pad: http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/HikingCam ... womens.jsp. yep, got the women's one. higher R value for the same weight? yes please. i had also heard other concerns about the durability of the exped so i decided against it.
