I ended up back ordering the Arcteryx Stinger bib pants. I found a lot of high marks for these pants all over the web and liked how the fit is technical/slim, but snowboard friendly. Fortunately I used the REI 20% coup and had a couple gift cards to make the price tolerable.
I liked that the feature set was very similar to the Arcteryx Theta (also really favorably reviewed online), but the fit was a bit more relaxed in the legs, and they also include two cargo pockets, unlike the Theta (NO pockets).
Will re-post this winter to give this thread some closure as far as my selection goes. Would be good to see others' post back up how their pants hold up as well. Cheers.
I have been very happy with my Arcteryx products very well made. Just a tip I would be very careful if you plan on riding in the trees with those pants. I have a pair of very similar priced and style bibs (north face mamantus bibs) The super light gortex rips very easy on spruce branches as you can see in this photo
