I need to know what capacity is best to carry for 1 and for 2 days up to the mountains

If you're overnighting, depending on what you're taking with you for shelter that would be a little small unless you have some drysacks and just strap a bunch of gear to the outside of your pack. If you're taking a tent/sleeping bag you'll probably want more capactiy.
