My experience with inserts is 50/50. First board i installed threaded inserts i bought off TGR without epoxy. They have held up fine and have been ridden in all conditions. Second Board was my brand new (never ridden solid) Raptor. Epoxied the same inserts. On my first run with it dropping in something felt weird, i lost control and watched board fly out from underneath my feet and over a cliff band and disappear. My skier buddy, was able to climb down and find my board while I worked my way down. I was bumming to say the least as my bindings were still attached to my boots inserts and all. Board was taken into World Boards where Jay was able to salvage the setup with T-Nuts. T-Nuts are not as pretty but now I have a bomber setup again! My is T-nuts. I was close enough to Bridger that it wasnt too bad of an out but coulda been a lot worse.

I used brass threaded inserts on my Dupraz DIY splitboard, on pucks, touring brackets and heel risers in order not to drill through the P-Tex and it works well. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8913&p=64675&hilit=dupraz#p64675 I glued those inserts with epoxy, as well as the touring brackets and heel risers on the top sheet of the board. Keep well.
