I have a Burton Custom ICS from 2009 that I've been wanting to split since last year. I've been looking online for some advice whether it's possible or not, but haven't found anything, so I decided to just go forward with it anyways.

Cutting through the aluminium channel was my biggest concern. So I've had it cut with a waterjet. I essentially googled for companies offering waterjet cutting in my area and gathered a few offers. Most of the places were metal dealers. The offers were between €60-€120 in Munich, Germany. I just went for the lowest price. The guys at the shop were a little confused with what I wanted, but nonetheless hooked it up nicely. After I saw how nice the cut came out, I ordered the Voile DIY Kit and found a supplier for the West Marine g/flex epoxy in Germany.
