I've been thinking about splitting a Fish, but as i investigate the Fish i've encountered a bit of dilemma:
Fish comes in two degrees of stiffnes: "HD" and "MD", cut-off between them is 150...IE weight range of MD is 100 to 150#s and the HD is 150 to 200#s...as i weigh in at 145 without my backcountry gear...which one do i go with?
Any light you guys could shed would be appreciated;
Gary

I split a Fish 156HD last year. I'm about 5'11", 160 lbs. I think the board is too small for me, but that size might be just right for you. It was quite squirrely on the one real BC trip I took it on. I'm thinking about selling it (interested?). Anyway, I would recommend the HD. You will lose a bit of stiffness when you split the board.

Either get a 156 hd or go for the 160.

Thanks for the advice! The HD it is.
I'd take you up on the offer to sell JimW, but the customs fas****s always nail me for ridiculous import duties ( don't we have a "Free Trade Agreement"?). So, unless you make it to Canada...or i come to the next split fest, i'll have to take a pass.
I don't think i would have the squirrely issues that come with that kind o' terrain...my wife won't let me ride that stuff Gary
