Hello, I found that on the web: http://snowboardmontana.org/SBMTForum/v ... f=33&t=253 looking for info. about DIY splitboards. It seems silly at the first glance, but after a whil eI find many advantages: - it is very cheap , compare the the Voile kit, - it should be more stable (the bindings are lower), - it should more reactive (as the binding are stiffly attached to the board), - the board gets very little damage and can still be use with different stances, angles, by diffrent users (or even been sold)
Apart from the time consuming to scew the bindings in riding position, I do not seem much disadvantages.
What do you think? Anybody having ideas to improve the screwing back process, and what about crampons? Didier
