I looked back a few pages and didn't see anything about this, so I though I would ask. What is the difference in your split board length and your resort/inbounds board?
I'm thinking about splitting a board, but I'm not sure if I want to use one of my inbounds rides or buy something a bit longer.
I'm probably going to use it for some BC in Colorado, Summit County area, but I'd eventually like to do some hut trips, which would probably mean a different board.
I used a Voile splitter in 2005 on a NOLS trip, and really liked it, but I can't for the life of me remember how long it was, maybe 174? which seems long since my inbounds ride is more like 156, 158. Anyway, I'm 5'8, about 200 (my fat ass is another reason I want to start riding a splitty).

I ride a 158 at the resort and my DIY split is a 166 (Ride Tempest) and I would say that is about the perfect size splitter for me. I could probably go a few cm's bigger and still be happy since I'm mostly riding it in powder anyways. FWIW, I'm 5'7 and 175 lbs.
