After sitting out 2 full winter with family obligations I finally got the chance to split a snowboard . So things I learned. -Use a jig to cut the board, free hand is possible but looks messy -dont finish the edges with epoxy gets on your skins -use the metal grip stuff to finish the bottom holes because if you dont you get a bad epoxy/ptex mix on your new skins the first time you tear them off Never underestimate the AWSOMENESS of using a splitboard to hike instead of snowshoes
The question of the day to all the old heads is.. what do I do about all the crap on my brand new tractor skins???? I am planning to split my board in awhile but in the mean time this board is a little skinnier than the skins ......should i trim them??
Cheers ipass9

My P-tex also didnt bond very well to the epoxy layer I had put in my holes... some worked great, others pulled right out, the epoxy generally stayed put though so it must just be my shotty p-tex skills
anyway I sat down with a pair of tweezers to pull out the little chunks of p-tex, are your chunks the right size to do that?
