I've got a question about an older Nitro 172 I bought off craigslist to split for a DIY project. Should I ride the board I'm thinking about spliting, solid first to see if it's worth all the effort to split and hardware up? THis would be my first split, so I'm just wondering if most folks rode their split before they split it?
It puts off the stoke I'm feeling for the project, but it kind of seems obvious.

Picked up an arbor off here about a month ago and it would of been nice to see how it rode solid but with only thirty cm base at the resort people already in backountry i wasn't waiting around. I'd say split it and ride.
