I'm new to the fourms here but I thought I would share one of my mods. I didn't want to drill my new board to mount my toe pieces, so I got a piece of nylon plastic and made my own mounting plates. It also allowed me to switch between my hardboot set up and my regular setup really easily. Volie makes the same sort of plate for tele skis with inserts. I have been riding them for a little over a season and have had no problems.
