Hello, I've been reading this forum for a while and decided to finally say hi and ask a quick question to those who have split there own boards.
Last season I split a board- everything went great and it rides well. But, I countersunk (I think that's the correct term) the mounting hardware and now I want to fill in the holes on the base. I understand that P-Tex won't stick to metal, so what can I do? Maybe epoxy some base material in there?

You might check out Tognar Tool Works. They should have something that will work for this. I would think the Metalgrip repair string here should work... Haven't tried it myself but that's what I was planning on using next time.

Both epoxy or metalgrip will work. Metalgrip gives you more of a pourus base wo wax will absorb. Honestly not that big of deal. I find epoxy with a pigment to match the base is the best fix as you won't really ever have to re-do it.
