First post here. I'm originally from Perth Australia but moved to NZ a few years back and as I hadn't seen snow until I moved here decided taking up snowboarding would be a good idea. I managed to get to Japan this year for 15 days which was epic and when I got back to NZ decided I wanted a new challenge for this winter and obviously splitboarding was the answer. Have started with one of my old boards. Cut it in half, have had rich at splitn2 have a look over it and am now waiting on a prowder kit to arrive.

Awesome man! DIY boards are such a fun project and rich will definitely see ya right. Cool to see another splitboarder in Chch. Chuck a message up on the splitn2.co.nz forum if you're looking for touring Buddies as there are a few of us about.
Look forward to the progress photos. Winter isn't far away!
