My newly arrived furberg is too wide for my 130mm dynafit crampons.

Anyone care to share some know-how? Could I bend them without breaking them or increasing risk of breaking them on the mountain?

The problem with bending your crampons, is that the aluminum has been hardend. For you to bend them correctly, they would need to be annealed and then heat treated after bending to keep the same strength.

Can they be altered without doing this? Yes but it will be a PITA tho get them right, and it will compromise strength

absolutely agree. Best bet is to get another set and sell the ones you got. Why risk breaking them and having to pay full price for replacements? Good luck

Thanks guys.

130mm are the widest dynafit go :(

The alternative is www.bndskigear.com....$85 shipping + across the pond.

Any ideas for a solution on the cheap?
