I don't know If this is a common repair but it was really helpful so I thought I would post...
I took off one of my risers to make a repair on my board and forgot to reinstall it before going out yesterday. Not wanting to have one leg explode on the final 2000' pitch of my climb I made an improvised heel riser out of sticks.
I broke a bunch of thicker aspen branches and bundled them together with a voile strap.
Then strapped the bundle of sticks to my ski under the binding with another strap.
I had to reposition it once during the 1.5 hours of climbing but other than that I didn't even notice it was there.
