Putting K clips on my new Storm I found out that the hole alignment is slightly different from the Voile set up. Bolting the stock K clip hook onto the board I found out that I could not get the bail to shut at all. In an email from Tyler he explained that Ventures are put together real tight and that I would need to drill out the holes to allow the hook side close enough to the bail side for it to snap shut. However the corner of the bail would hit the mounting nut not allowing the halves to be absolutely aligned. This is where working in a machine shop pays off. I created a copy of the hook side with the proper hole alignment and tapped the inside hole the same as the bail side to be able to assemble without a nut allowing the board halves to be even. I also made the hook slightly wider and and out of a thicker gauge to increase the resistance to straitening. Now it lines up and the tension is perfect for an authoritative snap on closure. Now I just need to snow to start falling in the Tahoe area again.

Thanks guys. The font I picked wasn't too fancy but more or less matched Ventures font. It was cut with a laser. Our shop bought a new one last year. Very nice. It took a break from it's usual job of cutting battery bottoms for the new Tesla S model
