Anyone one have any suggestions about drilling rescue sled holes in a DIY Splitboard?

I drilled some rescue sled holes in my Venture Storm. I had purchased the K2 Backside Rescue Shovel. I drilled and varnished the holes.

Now I just purchased the K2 Panoramic Spliboard Kit (with skins) for my wife.





I want to reuse these K2 skins on a DIY 156 Venture Euphoria project that I will start this summer.

all I can say is be careful dude...

most boards have plastic tip and tail fills. If you hold the board up to the light you can see where the wood core ends the plastic starts. Stay in the plastic and you should be golden. Seal it up good with epoxy to keep it from delaming.
