Finished the first prototype of the FLST v1.0
Almost any angle and stance adjustment you could ever want

This will be great for the Karakorum binding stance issue.

Are you using EST hardware? Looks nice, what is the process / material?

Very very good idea! I'd use those in a heartbeat if I could just buy them. Although I hear the voile pucks are a little bit flexy.

I cant comment about EST as there is very little info online about this. Would save alot of time if I could get my hands on that style of insert.
Its a completely different process I would think.
Mine are machined into the existing board, I would think the EST/ ICS are done in the core when laying up the board.
My materials are diferent too.
If anyone is up on the patent thing let me know if its an issue.
It gives a lot of options but also a bit of weight.
Strenght seems to be good too.
Have time to perfect the process so will keep you informed.

Really cool concept. I love my ICS on my Custom X for ease of setting things back when I'm pleasantly surprised by deeper powder. Sounds like a good way to get around the relative difficulty of changing stance or sharing your split with someone. Good work.

Not up on patents. I do know forum aka burton, also jenus had this tech in it ...maybe find an old one of those and see if pucks are a go .. great to test on something already manufactured. Also some of the patents may be up for grabs by now!! Evolve the sport !!and we will follow! Snowboard nerds unite!! And respect for pushing the gear into future!

I'm not claiming this as new. It is almost identical to a mast slide on a windsurfer or a fin box in a surfboard.
I got the idea from years of making surfboards.
Im doing a burton that i' ll be puting to the test next month.
Then i have to design the same for the board manufactures to try.

What do you think about gouging all that material directly under a pretty serious flex point? Maybe more for ground-up construction?

I'm guessing you added some metal channel/UHMW/reinforcement to keep the tnuts from pulling out? Have you yarded on them little homies yet?

Was at SIA this week and the only new thing I saw was this



Wondered how long it would take before someone made a production run of these.
The only other new news was that Rossi will be doing an Xavier Experience split 2014.
exactly the samer boards as the current one but different topsheet.
That's one board I'd lover to have a go on, look out JONES!!!
Shouldn't have cut my brand new one and waited another year

I didn't have much time at the show to hang around but the weight wasn't over the top.
The plan shape of the K2 is competely different, like a Furberg with a short radius sidecut.
The machining on the Aluminium was a bit rough but that what they are made of. So imagine they make a core with AL panels and the once the board is finished and edged they stick it in a CNC machine and mill out the channels.
That's how I would do it.

I'm surprised you guys in the US haven't seen this yet???
