Hey guys & gals, I just wanted to share with you my completed Ride Slackcountry 164 split! I was a bit nervous taking a saw to my beloved Slack, so I had it professionally done here in Seattle by Snowboard Connection's Nick (who runs Sick Splits out of Snocon's shop). He did a beautiful job on the board, fit and finish is almost perfect. Very near factory look to it! I opted for the Karakoram tip, tail, and board clips. The board clips "hull" the board slightly, but it's very minimal and hardly noticeable. I can't wait to get some skins and bindings to test this out!

Nice split! You heading to Baker splitfest?
Haha yeah I'm definitely pimpin her out where I can!
Not sure if she'll be up and running before the end of the season. Still need skins and bindings, but I'm not sure if they're in the budget until next season. My new house closes in a few weeks, plus the Subaru needs a bit of work too (new rear end & turbo). I'd love to get out to Splitfest though....

What is the core in the middle of a slackcountry? Did you encounter any interference with carbon when cutting? I may be getting my hands on a slackcountry and am eager the hear your thoughts?
