Splitting a Gnu Park Pickle 156! Favorite board of all time! Have a factory Burton S series split but want something with rocker/ magnetraction for spring riding. The Pickle is beat and I just picked up a 2012 Gnu altered genetics for a screaming deal so the Pickle will live on in the quiver as a splitboard.
so this is the first DIY i will be doing and i have a 07/08 T.Rice promodel that I will be doing first to work out the kinks...
My question is this: When putting the chinese clips on a board, you are supposed to measure 1" back from the contact point of the base, how does that work with rockered boards? where do I measure from?

I just took a guess. Whatever looks good? Eyeballing from across the room tells me they are in the range of 8-12" from the nose & tail on my Mullet. The fantastic thing about putting together a DIY split is that it is only an exact science as you make it.

Kind of what I figured...
How about drilling, I hear everyone say they drilled too deep into the base. -Am I just trying to remove barely enough base material so that the T-nut can be covered by P-tex/ epoxy patch?
Planning on putting an edge in also. Have a master carpenter and all his tooling and experience available to assist, so I am pretty excited. Planning on Go-pro'ing it and will post as I complete it! all the advise is appreciated!
