I just talked to Bryce (from Karakoram) and he said that they are redesigning the tour mode so the fixed heel will be an option. He said they would be available sometime next season. Hope this helps.

Their bushings just rotate so well
I have a few ideas on how to do this without drilling holes in the board, but I do think that this solution looks appropriate.
When are you guys finding you want your heels locked down? Unless the binding releases I think I'm happy to have my heel floating in hopes of keeping my knees intact. Anything that I can't ski down free heel I'd probably just make the swap and snowboard down anyways. The only time I've wanted to be able to lock my heels is for sidestepping up something (tight, tricky kick turn in the trees) but that was such a limited use that I don't think I'd want to add any weight or complexity to my kit just for that.
