I split a 172 Ape a month ago. I've had it out 4 or 5 times and love it. Someday I'll ride a factory split when someone makes a board I actually want to ride. I've been riding Skunk Apes at resorts for 4ish years now and just can't find myself to ride anything but Ape's. I sure wish Lib would make factory split Ape's.

yea we'll see how i take to the icelantic/NS

it'll be my first RCR board as well... my main resort board is a 163 TRS and my pow board is a 162 K2 gyrator..one a banana rocker and other basically a flat rocker

Does anyone notice the split Ape is extremely flexible? It's almost to the point where its too flexible at times. I only notice it on flatter soft snow where its hard to keep my speed up. I notice the center of the board flexing down into the snow slowing me down a little. Being a 250lb dude and my stance width is around 26" I'm sure doesn't help. It's not a huge deal but wanted to see if anyone else noticed this compared to other DIY splits.

A few fiends have commented "Holy shi*t your board is flexible".

Long live the Ape,
