Hi.

I've got the DIY kit on the way. It still feels very, very wrong to cut a perfectly good snowboard in half, but hopefully it will be worth it.
I've looked at the DIY video linked from the voile website and have a couple of questions:
*Are there any reason for using the spar varnish on the cut? I would think that using epoxy and fiberglass would make for a more durable seal that never wear out.
*Isn't it customary to seal the interior of drilled holes for the hooks and nose clips? I would think that you risk water getting into the wood core which could deteriorate and ruin the board.

regards,

Håvard

Yes yes yes. You know how to do it the right way! A good quality laminating epoxy will saturate the wood around the holes and toughen them up. No one wants a sloppy split board half way through the season. Adding glass to the inside edge may be overkill but go for it.
