Just pop the medallion off and use a dremel or hacksaw to cut it in half and then after the cut epoxy it back on. Way easier this way!

How thick is it/material? My Rome Notch has a large metal stamp in the nose, turned out to be a couple mm of aluminum not much thicker than the foil in the core, which the saw blade (44tooth, carbide tip I think) had no problem zipping through.

Yup, ripped right through the medallion no problem. Throwing down my last coat of urethane tonight, should have some pics up soon :clap:
