I am trying to plane a trip to NZ for 2 and half weeks the end of Aug. I have never been there and have no idea what and where is good. MT hutt looked pretty good on line? I am also wanting to spend one day on a heli? I am trying to do this trip cheap. If I could hook up with some people who like to split that would be great. Even better if they would let me crash on there couch. What is your schedule like? I would get to NZ Aug 23 and leave Sept 8. Let me know what you think.

hi your dates are perfect..which island are you flying into..north or south..i am based at mt ruapehu and we have plenty of couchspace..
regards the south island..follow b.s trip report as he is staying in wanaka all season....try treble cone and ohau..heliski with wilderness heli at mt cook..most of the other operations are for tourists...i will be down south for 4/5 days not sure when though......

I will be in Wanaka from the 25 Aug till the 6th Sep.
We are looking to do 2 days Heli from Wanaka.
......ghaniman what have you heard about Harris Mt Heli company? any good.
They seem to be the only guys from Wanaka?
7 runs $825 sound to be a good deal.

We have 4-5 people to do the Heli.
If there's room you could come with us.
