Hi everyone!

I am flying to New Zealand from Canada at the beginning of August. I am planning to be around for about a year but want to start my trip with some splitboarding.

i am flying to the South Island and looking for any tips from fellow splitboarders regarding the best areas to go, where to find buddies to go out with and even accomodation.

I got some ideas from my own research but there are nothing better than local knowledge!

in the forum there is a splitboarding thread and this will let you contact the local sth island splitters.. i am based up north at ruapehu..call in if you want to split, spring corn is good until the end of october early november..
