Just got my lightrails (Sparks was OUT OF STOCK everywhere I looked ). The base plate looks great but the straps have me worried. What's with the retro strap ladders / length adjuster? Looks like something of a rental board.
From what I read in the other posts here, the ladders are the first to go. So, I'm looking to replace the straps but am worried about compatibility. What binding straps are you using / would recommend?

greanie I did 4, 3 day trips with the Light rail and they were great I got replacement ladders before this as they were showing signs of wear. The only prob i had was my old crampons were not compatable on my first outing , but a few quick mods and they were fine. I used them over my yoes like toe caps and they were sweet. I was going to put Burton Cap straps on but haven't bothered.
Give them a go
If you do change them Sparks have strap spares on their site that look cool to.
