I used some Christmas cash to get a set of strap bindings. I have ridden burton step ins since they were introduced. I love the burton si's but over time the boots are harder to come by. The boots have become less comfortable, so I'm using my Christmas cash for a new boot binding setup. I chose the Rome SDS due to non availability of various other bindings in my size at any of my local shops. The Rome are listed as the stiffest they make rivaling many other bindings. I was also looking at the k2 Cinch but could not find them in my size. I considered FLOW, but many have had mixed reviews on durability and practicality. I don't necessarily expect to ditch my AT boots and plate bindings for the split, but one never knows.
