Anybody ever own/use a Head snowboard binding? I was unaware they made bindings until I spotted them online. I would be interested to know if they're worth looking at.
I was also curious abou the Salomon SPX bindings as well. Any input at all would be appreciated.

dunno about the spx, but I have salomon bindings, and while i really liked them in terms of comfort and support (but i never used proper bindings before), the voile plate makes it possible for the plastic part keeping the strap pin in place to fall out.

This is due to the fact that the toe strap is convertible and can go in one of two slots (toe cap style or trad).

Anyway, don't repeat my mistake. A helpful guy at mt. rose improvised something for me, but I still need to get a proper pin for it to work properly.

Cheers

Thanks for the input. I ended up picking up a pair of new Ride EX bindings off E-Bay for $86 , shipping-in. They should be ok. I've read they are a little heavy but we'll see, not everyone's perspective of heavy is the same.
I'll put in a word or two after I've put a few days on them.
