My attempts (thus far) to convert to hard boots as cheaply as possible.
Tlt5-found on kijiji for $300
Proflex bindings off eBay for the bails and throw(attached directly to voile sliders)
Homemade dynafit toe pieces(free aluminium scraps and majic with a hacksaw)...

Open position, movable wing is notched around the lock lever to prevent it from swinging free

Still plenty of refining to do, the aluminum thickness is way over kill so plenty of lightening holes are needed. Also need to spring load the locking lever so all you need to do is squeeze the tangs together when they are aligned with the boot, and you're locked in.

Ya hard to justify putting $200 into them. Their simplicity is ingenuous tho
I've got another idea I'm workinn on, using thinner aluminium stock and different locking method.
