Took my splitboard for a trial run yesterday with my burton C60 bindings. Voile Light Rail Bindings are on the way.
I wadded it up and broke the high-back right where it attaches to the base plate and it got me thinking. Since the binding is not sitting flush on the board and it's sitting on the pucks is there a chance the binding broke because of the extra leverage since it's not on the board? I have never seen a binding break in this area and it seems impossible.
Anyone else have bad luck with conventional bindings on split-boards involved in a small crash?
