Just bought the Split30's for this season. Have only been out once and I have to say I'm in love with the quickness these things offer. The only problem I've run into is with the heel riser. When I skin with the risers up and apply any pressure at all, the risers fall backward toward the tail and offer very little support. Has any one had this issue? I haven't seen it specifically addressed in any other post (referred to, yes, addressed, no). It just seems really flimsy.
Hey there if your only riser is falling towards the tail and it is the standard height then the riser should be on the other side. The single riser when down points towards the nose of the ski if you have both the short riser points towards the tail. If this is already the case and they are still falling email the brothers and they will set it straight they are quick to reply and extremely helpful
Thanks for the reply. I'll post pics when I get home. They are mounted in the front of the heel plate as they should be for the heel lock feature yet fall backwards when in "riser mode". I'll contact them and let everyone know what's up.
keep in mind the heel lock down feature requires the risers to be pulled forward. When this happens the risers are not supported for steep tour mode. To get them back in tour mode you have to slide the ends of the risers back in their plastic housing (towards the back of the board).
This may not be your problem but it can be an issue if you don't know how to work the interface yet.
