I just picked up a Venture Zephyr, and I'm looking to get a solid pair of bindings. My other board is an 08/09 Custom X (older version of the channel), so I needed to get a Burton binding. I ended up with the cartel binding after I had to warranty my triad bindings.

All that being said, I don't wanna go with Burton again. The cartels have been nice enough, but squeaky really loudly when I'm pushing the board hard in carves.

Bindings on my shortlist:
Union Force
Union Asadachi (looks like it has a slightly nicer ankle strap than the force)
Union Contact Pro (a riding buddy just switched to these and likes them)

I've heard great stuff about Unions, but anything else to suggest? I'm looking for something that's gonna be bomber, comfortable, and comparable stiffness to the Cartel. If anyone has any direct comparisons between the bindings I've got listed, that'd be very useful.

Think you got the nail on the head... check the SL and Atlas though.
