tried searching couldnt come up with anything, I broke my Karakoram Climbing wires the other day the plastic mount just snapped in half. I was wondering if any larger splitters out there know of a quick fix. I have my buddys dad who is a machinest looking in to making ones out of solid aluminum for me.

I'm a big guy and went back to using the Voile single height wires with my Karakorum setup. I have one of last years Solutions that needed custom brackets and that moved the touring bracket back so every time I would put full weight on one of the wires they would self close. Put the Voile's on and haven't had any issues since.

I fucking crushed one of those in literally, 10 strides last season. I was going to see how the 21mm held up. My problem wasn't the wire bending, but the plastic just shredding under my weight. Haven't come up with a solution yet, only been on one tour this season and finished off the g3 riser on that. Need a new riser prior to the next tour. If you get someone to machine them out of aluminum or something, I'd definitely have interest.

if anyone is using karakoram risers the longer wire from the g3's will fit in the rear slot of the k riser puck....and its solid. a bit too high for my liking though.

2 seasons on my G3 without issue. But I am not that big. 170lbs... I have them mounted on top of the Voile shim pieces though, maybe that helps.

yeah, I mounted mine shimless. Wonder if that made a difference. I can't see how though, considering how it broke, the tabs that hold the wire up just completely flattened out or broke off. Maybe the big guy here ought to drop some poundage
