Its hike and ride time here in Greater Central NH.
Anybody used or uses a set-up as described in the title?. I dislike straps, dislike hiking in sb boots and really dislike the sand in my ...... (but expect a decent pearl by summer).

Oops... better late than never. I have used this setup a lot. NXT-FR and my leather Millet boots last year in April in the Sierras. works great. You have a little left right slop in your foot, but it's locked in quite well in the toe-heel direction, and when pressuring the toe-side or heel-side edge. Two thumbs up.

I am a flow guy. I love that I can get in without sitting down and faster than a lot of skiers can buckle down. That being said, I would never take them backcountry. All of my Flows have broken. The worse one was the wire back broke and there is simply no way to fix it. It happened to me in a ski area and road the lift down. Backcountry that isn't an option. I would look into something that has more worse case seniario capabilities.
