So I tried teleboots and plates a couple of years ago and was thoroughly unimpressed. Even my pretty soft tele/touring boots and, relatively, flexy Burton plates felt incredibly stiff and unyeilding. Big power but not much feel. Ski boots are, after all, designed to limit ankle movement and convert it into turning power.
Now I ride in Koflach pmb's and straps with winged highbacks, pretty good feel to power ratio. However, my ankles are not getting any younger and my riding is more carvaceous.
So I ask: Is it possible to feel surfy, soulfull, casually stylish in plates and plastic?

Dunna what you call soulfull, but I like my old green Dynafit TLT2. Light and quite soft. Softer
than the later models and of course much softer than 'soft'boots like the Nitro Mirage.
