A friend just purposely broke the toungues on his Nordica tr9's in half. The experiment works! I gave up on some NEW Dynafit zzero 3-tf's bcause of the Frankenrider stiffness and lack of kung-fu (major reason I ride). I have yet to make mods to mine, but took the toungues OFF at home, and seemed 300% better. I anticipate building toungues out of some lightweight material that can bend in the cold. This would be to protect the tf liners, and keep the elements out.
