So I picked up a pair of 32's last season, due to constant heckling from my friends. This was before I started splitting, and I immediately fell in love with them. I had always ridden Northwave, which I though were a decent boot, but 32 far surpass them. I have found 32 to be such a simple boot design, never any crazy out of control technology and they are by far the lightest boot out there. In fact for next season they are suppose to come out with an "unltra light" boot.
I have some friends that like them as well, especially teh gusy using custom inner soles for added support. For me, 32's are too high volume (I prefer a lower profile denser boot... which does not imply heavier, it means same weight in a smaller package. To get that low volume/high density I settle for a slightly heavier boot).
I hear they are a good warm boot for mid winter days?
oh man, i know what you mean with the gnarley ingrown toe nail. the big toe on my left foot has been retched for years now, its a hell of a pain at times. letting them go numb is a decent solution.

I have a pair of 32's that I use for the resort. They are very warm. I wore them in -26 to -18. Just standing around at the resort (working) and was pretty toasty. I have broken or shattered all the bones in my feet, they get pretty cold but the 32's held out for the most part. I am not a big fan of soft boots in the backcountry so I'm not sure how they would be. They are real burly. I've got 2 seasons on mine and they are still going strong.
