I am after a boot that will keep my feet dry and be durable enough for sledding too. I have owned exclusively solomon boots in the last 10 years. mostly malamutes but f22's and f24's too. My malamutes from last year didn't hold up at all. a bit disappointed for sure considering the price etc.,
As a 'backcountry boot' its lacking in the durability dept. for sure. great fit, awesome support.
seen a pic of the Flow Talon, it looks pretty sick..........hmmm
If anybody has any suggestions or similar issue im all ears! thnx

I second you on Solomons lack of durability, and am in the same boat as you. My concern with the mountaineering hybrids are the stiffness. I like a softer boot (SYNAPSE) and am scared to order anything without trying it on first. Wish someone carried them in my neck of the woods.
Lots of days spent in ThirtyTwo boots, and on a snowmobiles. Quality. Lightweight.
I'll have to take a picture of my two year old Ultralights, when I get a chance. Those babies had sooo much into them and I was concerned they were going to last half a season initially.. They look like new.
Edit: The Sonic also looks super nice. Tad more flex than the Prime, and last years had some rubber on the outside of the sole for more durability.
