Good Idea or just another really bad idea? I was wondering about putting wader lugs in the soles of snowboard boots. Would scratch up some base plates. But then I thought my ride bindings have a pad on the base plate. Maybe cut some holes in the pads to "lock" in the lugs to the binding. Then I got to looking at the wader boot in the binding and I thought holy shit, that fits really nice. So I think I'm going to go take a couple hot laps in the Simms boots this weekend just for shits and giggles.
If I break an ankle then I will know it was just another really bad idea.

Some older burton boots had little flip-out mini crampons in the toes for "hiking the pipe" back when people actually did that...
Cool idea as they flipped back into the boot and were out of the way when not needed. Probably added bulk and jammed with ice outside of the ski shop, though.
