Looking for the stiffest yet most durable boot I can find, yet can't afford the really great stuff like the new Deluxe's, etc.


My current Vans are literally destroyed. Will be riding 100 plus days, probably 15-20 of those days will be backcountry.

Ideally would like something stiff enough to put crampons on and climb lots of the moderate stuff like the PNW stratovolcanoes (Hood, Adams, Baker, etc).

Anyone know of any good deals going on or have some suggestions? Totally willing to save a little extra for quality. Have pro-deal through Rome and Thirty-Two, might be able to scrounge up some more.
