I just split my first board, and mounted it with Voile SD Mountain Plate Bindings. Now I need boots and would love some advice on some mid-priced mountaineering boots.

Go to your favorite mountaineering store and try on as many different boots as you can and buy the one that fits your feet the best and meets all your needs for what you want to climb. I have a pair of Scarpa Charmoz's that I bought after trying on La Sportivas and Kaylands. I really liked the Kaylands but I have wide feet and the Scarpas fit me the best.

I highly doubt you would find a pleasurable riding experience with something like the Scarpa Charmoz. If you really want to ride plate bindings you're likely gonna need hard boots. I wouldn't even ride a plate setup with my Spantiks, and they are way stiffer than something like the Charmoz boots.

I agree, the Charmoz would make a terrible boot to snowboard in. He asked about a mid-range mountaineering boot and without asking if it would be any good for riding in. I'd use my Charmoz's for dry trails, long approaches, and actual mountaineering. When I'm splitboarding it's in real snowboard boots but I haven't run into conditions that demand crampons yet when I wanted to snowboard back down something.
