chris,
The evo has a one piece tongue.
I would recommend the standard version lowa that has a two piece tongue. It has a softer flex.
you can get them here
http://www.sierratradingpost.com/xq/asp ... roduct.htm they come with a non thermo gtx linner
your obviously should through some thermos in them
Or see if you can find a pair of stucktura lights they come with two different tongues and thermo liners.
I have a few friends who ride this boot and they love it

Thanks drew!
I'm looking at a used pair that are very reasonably priced at $125. Having said that, I was more interested in just having them for dabbling in the darkside and not so much making the full on switch.

I had Scarpa Vector for few years...this boot is sucks...why ? My foot not suit in it well. All scarpa skialp boots are not very precise manufactured. No inventions, no fit, no fun. My friends have models Laser and Denali. Denali is very, very stiff. Blood - always.
Last year I bought Lowa Struktura EVO GTX. This boot is another level. I have satisfaction - comfortable on a walk, hard and stiff on a ride. Get inside are not dying like with Nordica TR10 or TR12, stiff is the same as TR12 in my experience. However, this model (evo gtx) are not in manufacture now.
